A Place To Kill, the collaborative project featuring Filter vocalist/guitarist Richard Patrick alongside musician, director and photographer Jim Louvau (There Is No Us), have officially locked in a release date for their long-awaited debut EP.
The pair will issue their first EP, ‘APTK’, on June 05th. Patrick has previously described the material as “super heavy, in-your-face industrial music for the apocalypse,” signaling a darker and more aggressive sonic direction for the project.
Political themes are also expected to play a central role in the release. Patrick, who has frequently spoken openly about his political viewpoints throughout his career, previously explained the inspiration behind the material, stating:
“It’s all inspired by the recent political events of the United States and the craziness that’s going on…”
Pre-saves for the upcoming EP are currently available online, though additional details surrounding the release — including tracklisting and guest contributions — have yet to be revealed.
The project first surfaced publicly in 2023 with the debut single “The Killing Field,” which appeared as a b-side to a 7″ release for the Filter track “For The Beaten.” Since then, updates on the collaboration have been sparse, making this newly confirmed release date the most significant development for the project to date.
More information on ‘APTK’ is expected in the coming weeks as the June release approaches.
