Post-hardcore veterans A Static Lullaby are set to bring their 25th anniversary in-studio performance of their 2003 debut album, ‘…And Don’t Forget To Breathe,’ to vinyl.
The limited pressing will be capped at 250 copies and is scheduled for release on September 18th through SmartPunk Records. The performance was originally released digitally this past May.
For the live recording, A Static Lullaby revisited the album at Straitjacket Studios in Fullerton, CA, running through the record from front to back. The band explained why they ultimately decided to give the performance a physical release:
“‘…And Don’t Forget to Breathe Live’ was born from wanting to honor our past without trying to recreate it. The original record was a moment in time that helped define who we were and left its mark on the post-hardcore scene, and we never wanted to mess with that. Instead, we went into Straitjacket Studios with our good friend Jay Stolo and ripped through the album live, front to back… and it came out so fucking good that we knew we had to put it on wax.”
The band continued:
“We’re beyond stoked to partner with our friends at Smartpunk Records to finally bring this moment to vinyl and into your hands. These songs still mean everything to us, and we hope spinning this record brings you as much happiness as making it brought us.”
