Bodom After Midnight, the band fronted by the late Alexi Laiho, has released a video for the title track of their upcoming debut EP Paint The Sky With Blood.
The band offered the following statement:
“Like ourselves, Alexi was beyond stoked about these songs and anxious to get these out, so we are happy that we can fulfill his wish. Needless to say, we are honored and proud to be a part of his very last creative work and to unleash it the way he wanted it. It’s time to let the beast out of the cage one more time as a celebration of Alexi’s music, legacy and the man himself.”
The band recorded the EP his past November at Finnvox Studios in Finland about a month before Laiho‘s death on December 29th, 2020. He died of ‘alcohol-induced degeneration of the liver and pancreas connective tissue’. The band will be paying tribute to the life of Laiho by releasing the final recordings with him on April 23rd through Napalm Records.
