All Shall Perish marked the occasion with a typically chaotic social media post celebrating the remaster and encouraging fans to crank it up.
The band wrote:
“After 20 long years, hear this again for the first time REMASTERED, glow’d up, balls, deep and getting headroom. On all DIgITAL PlaTfoRms RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!! GO JAM IT!!!”
They also issued a warning to Bring Me The Horizon vocalist Oliver Sykes and anyone still rocking an early-2000s car stereo:
“APOLOGIES IN ADVANCE TO OLIVER SYKES EARLY 2000’S CAR SUBWOOFERS, THEY WILL NOT SURVIVE!!!!!”
The celebration extends beyond the digital release, with ‘The Price Of Existence’ also receiving its first-ever vinyl pressing.
All Shall Perish are self-pressing four numbered color variants, while Silverback Gorilla Records have partnered with the band on additional collector-focused editions.
“FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, FINALLY ON MUH WAX!!!!”
The band added:
“We are self-pressing 4 numbered colors variants and for the Über-collectors we have partnered with Silverback Gorilla Records to bring you the absolute SICKEST variants humanly possible!!”
According to All Shall Perish, those editions are “Crazy limited, hand done everything, mind-melting wax.”
A CD edition has also been made available, though the band couldn’t resist poking fun at the format:
“Oh ya we put it on CD too, i guess those are still a thing?”
The band also offered thanks to Arson Theory and Cameron Almasi for helping bring the anniversary release together, while Seth Munson handled the mastering.
“Thank you to Arson Theory and Cameron Almasi for helping us put this all together.”
“MASTERED BY THE GOAT: SETH MUNSON”
Originally released in 2006, ‘The Price Of Existence’ became one of the defining releases of the mid-2000s deathcore era. The album features such fan favorites as “Eradication,” “Wage Slaves,” “The Day Of Justice” and “The Last Relapse.”
Now, two decades after its initial release, All Shall Perish will also be taking the record back to the stage for a full-album performance.
The band’s 20th anniversary North American tour will run from September 4th through October 3rd, with Carnifex, Extermination Dismemberment and Mauled among the bands joining them along the way.
