Former Arch Enemy frontwoman Angela Gossow has addressed recent speculation about a potential reunion with the band, confirming that she did in fact consider returning but ultimately decided against it. Gossow also noted she remains open to “doing single shows” in the future.
The discussion came following the band’s announcement of Lauren Hart (ex-Once Human) as their new lead vocalist. Gossow shared her perspective on Hart joining Arch Enemy while also reflecting on her own brief consideration of rejoining the group:
“@ohlaurenhart My sister at🖤 Such a warm and genuine human. We share the same taste in music, the same vocal technique and dedication to music, people and fitness. We have known each other personally since many years… Then things happened in the Arch Enemy camp. I thought hard about rejoining the band. I looked at my life, my age, my still young children, my workload as the manager for @archenemyofficial. And the answer was no. Both emotionally and also rationally… PPS: yes, I am down for doing single shows😉😉😉”
Gossow also praised Hart, calling her performance “so intense, so glorious” and saying she is “Angela reincarnate… ready to last for decades.” She further acknowledged the band’s previous vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, wishing her well on her solo endeavors.
While Gossow ultimately opted not to rejoin Arch Enemy full-time due to family and professional commitments, her comments leave the door open for occasional live appearances, satisfying longtime fans who had speculated about a possible comeback.
