ARCHSPIRE Officially Welcome Spencer Moore (INFERI) as New Drummer, Preview New Track

Spencer Moore, known for his work behind the kit with Inferi, has officially joined Canadian technical death metal titans Archspire as their new drummer. The band announced his addition this morning, May 27th, humorously referring to him as “Spencer 2”—a nod to the man he’s replacing, longtime drummer Spencer Prewett, who departed the group last September.

Archspire shared the news alongside a clip of Moore tearing through a brand new, as-yet-untitled track from their upcoming fifth studio album. The band began recording earlier this year and is set to return to Flatline Audio next month to complete what they’re calling their “best album” yet.

Archspire commented:

“Some say less is more…
But WE believe MOORE is more…

Next month, we’re heading to Flatline Audio to finish our fifth (and best) album with the best drummer we could ask for: SPENCER MOORE!!!

Here’s a taste of Spencer 2 tearing through a brand new track.
420 (bpm) isn’t just for stoners anymore.”

As for Inferi, they’ve confirmed Moore‘s departure and announced that Nathan Bigelow (Arkaik, Singularity) will be filling in on drums while they continue work on their next record and upcoming tour plans.

Inferi issued the following statement:

“Cat’s out of the bag.
After years of service, our brother Spencer Moore has decided to leave and accept the position as the drummer of @archspireofficial.
We wish them well.
With a new album and more tour announcements on the horizon, we will not be slowing down.
You can catch our good friend @nathanwolegib (Arkaik / Singularity) behind the kit filling in for us.
