Yucca Tap Room, a long-standing and genre-neutral music venue in Tempe, AZ, known for hosting independent rock and metal tours—including recent performances by Dawn of Ouroboros and an upcoming appearance from punk legends Total Chaos—has issued a statement following an unexpected situation outside their building.
In a post shared to Instagram, the venue informed patrons that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) had set up staging operations in their parking lot—without any invitation, coordination, or support from the venue.
Their full statement reads:
“ICE is staging in our parking lot. No, we didn’t invite them. No, we’re not cooperating. Yes, we’re just as annoyed as you are.
Apparently, they thought staging next to a music venue and art installations was the next frontier in intimidation tactics.
To be crystal clear: Yucca Tap Room has nothing to do with ICE and never will.
If you’re stopping by, be safe, stay sharp, and know this space is for the people—not the jackboots.”
