Atreyu are marking the 20th anniversary of their third studio album, ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’, with a new vinyl reissue arriving this fall.
Craft Recordings has announced plans to bring the gold-certified melodic metalcore record back to vinyl on October 30, giving fans several different editions to choose from.
The standard pressing will be available on black vinyl, while limited variants will include Fire Smoke, jointly issued through Craft Recordings and Victory Records, as well as a Blazing Yellow edition being offered through Revolver.
Originally released in 2006, ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’ featured several of Atreyu’s best-known tracks from that era, including “Ex’s and Oh’s,” “The Theft,” “Shameful,” and “Our Sick Story (So Far).”
The anniversary campaign also brings another piece of the album’s era back into the spotlight. “Her Portrait In Black,” a track recorded during the ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’ sessions, is now available digitally for the first time as part of the reissue rollout.
The song originally appeared on the soundtrack to the 2006 action-horror film Underworld: Evolution and was released as a single that same year.
Pre-orders for the 20th anniversary vinyl edition of ‘A Death-Grip On Yesterday’ are now available.
