August Burns Red continues their festive tradition with the release of their instrumental rendition of “Waltz of the Flowers”, originally composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky for The Nutcracker. Dropping just in time for the holiday season (November 27th), the track offers a metalcore twist on the classical ballet piece.
The band shared their excitement about the cover:
“In keeping with our annual tradition, we are excited to reveal this year’s August Burns Red holiday song. We tackled the classical ballet ‘Waltz of the Flowers,’ taken from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker. It was so much fun adding our spin to the timeless melodies written by this legendary composer. Hope you like it and Happy Holidays!”
Fans can also look forward to August Burns Red’s annual ‘Christmas Burns Red’ bash, set to take place on December 13th and 14th at the Freedom Hall in the Lancaster County Convention Center, Lancaster, PA. This hometown holiday celebration will feature performances from The Devil Wears Prada, The Ghost Inside, Gideon, and more.
