Balmora’s current status has officially been listed as “pending” following the fallout from allegations of sexual misconduct and grooming involving guitarist Jay Torblaa, which surfaced earlier this week.
The rising Connecticut metalcore outfit initially addressed the situation on June 01, stating that Torblaa would be “stepping away” from the band after online evidence and screenshots began circulating. At the time, the remaining members—Paul Cole, Colin Flynn, Danny, and Chaz Torok—also insisted that their planned touring commitments would continue as scheduled.
However, internal instability quickly followed. Bassist Danny Cuneo later took to social media, stating that the band had been “nuked,” signaling further uncertainty around the group’s immediate future.
Balmora have now officially pulled out of their upcoming spring headlining run with Holder, Azshara, and Contention, with the remaining bands continuing the tour in adjusted form.
A statement provided to Loudwire confirmed the change:
“Balmora will no longer be appearing on their planned June tour and the status of the band is currently pending. Holder and Azshara will proceed with the tour, with Contention on select dates.”
Despite the turbulence, the band recently released their debut full-length album ‘These Graven Halls’ on May 29, marking a major milestone in their fast-growing presence within the modern metalcore revival scene.
As of now, Balmora’s long-term future remains unclear, with no additional statements regarding replacement members or the band’s continuation.
