Basement Premiere “The Way I Feel” Video, Detail New Album ‘WIRED’

Basement have unveiled another preview of their long-awaited return, releasing a new music video for “The Way I Feel,” the latest single from their upcoming album ‘WIRED’.

The British post-hardcore outfit teamed with director Kaylinn Duffy for the newly released visual, which arrives as the third single shared from the record. The album marks the band’s first full-length release since 2018’s ‘Beside Myself’, ending a lengthy gap between studio efforts for the gold-certified group.

Vocalist Andrew Fisher opened up about the meaning behind the track, explaining that it captures the emotional tension felt when facing a life-changing choice.

“‘The Way I Feel’ is about standing on the edge of a really important decision, right before you make it. Constantly questioning whether you have the courage to stand up for yourself and fight your side, while at the same time begging for forgiveness and acknowledgement. My tongue is in my cheek quite a lot in this song – you need to decide when I’m saying what I mean or not. I love the simplicity of this song and I love that the intro is the same audio sample that Al made on his loop pedal. I knew from the first time he sent that audio file that this would be a song.”
