Bloodlines Drop Off Wolves At The Gate Tour Following Death In The Family

Bloodlines have announced their early exit from the ongoing Wolves At The Gate / Heal The Hurt tour after a sudden death in the family involving drummer Matthew.

The Texas-based Christian metalcore outfit shared the news on May 10, confirming they will not be performing at the remaining three dates of the run.

In a statement issued by the band, they explained the situation and their decision to return home:

“Family, tonight we were informed that a very dear family member to our drummer Matthew passed suddenly. Due to this, Bloodlines will not be continuing our remaining dates with Wolves At The Gate and Heal The Hurt.”

The band also reflected on their faith while addressing fans and the broader touring community:

“We believe as a family to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. Today, heaven gained a sweet soul into the glorious presence of our King and for that we rejoice.”

They continued by thanking fans for their support throughout the run and expressing appreciation for the connections made on the road:

“To our fans, we are deeply grateful for all of you. Every conversation and encounter we’ve had with each of you left us in awe of what God is doing for this scene.”

The message concluded with confirmation that the band intends to return after taking time away to grieve:

“Be assured that we will be back soon. Please keep Matthew and his family in your prayers as he takes this time to grieve.”

The tour continues without Bloodlines, with remaining dates featuring Wolves At The Gate and Heal The Hurt.
