Blue Medusa are continuing to build momentum despite recent questions surrounding the future of the project following Alissa White-Gluz’s addition to DragonForce.
The fledgling metal outfit, launched by the former Arch Enemy and The Agonist vocalist, will release the music video for their new single “Flying Monkey” this coming Friday, May 15.
Some fans had speculated that White-Gluz joining DragonForce in a new vocal role could push Blue Medusa into the background, though Alissa has publicly dismissed those concerns in recent weeks. The upcoming single appears set to reinforce that the project remains active moving forward.
White-Gluz co-directed the video for “Flying Monkey” alongside noted director Vicente Cordero, whose previous credits include work with Cradle Of Filth and Ministry.
The core lineup for Blue Medusa also features guitarist Alyssa Day of Mindscar / In Absentia and guitarist Dani Sophia, formerly of Lindemann.
Meanwhile, White-Gluz’s new DragonForce bandmate Alicia Vigil is handling bass duties in the group’s live lineup, while Delaney Jaster of These Fading Visions performs drums for touring appearances.
