Breaking In A Sequence have released their latest single “Don’t Run”, which arrives alongside an animated lyric video created by Mike Savage.
The new track follows the band’s previous single ‘Meant To Be’, continuing the group’s latest chapter with another collaboration alongside producer Chris Collier (Korn, Fear Factory). The outfit features former (hed)p.e. drummer BC Vaught alongside ex-members of Core 10 and other projects.
According to the band, “Don’t Run” marked an important milestone as the first song written with Vaught behind the kit.
“‘Don’t Run’ was the first song written with new drummer BC Vaught. We didn’t write anything for the first year and a half after to give us time to meld together. The song carries the nu metal torch from the early 2000’s with a perfect blend of melody, groove and aggression. It has a rawness that is absent in today’s music.”
The single showcases Breaking In A Sequence’s mix of nu metal-inspired grooves, melodic hooks, and aggressive energy, capturing the sound the band believes defined the early 2000s while bringing their own modern approach to the style.
“Don’t Run” will appear on the band’s upcoming new album ‘Inanimate’, which is expected to arrive later this year.
