Castiel Sign With Seek And Strike, Launch “Act I: Defile // Denounce” Video From New EP ‘All Returns To Hollow And Silence’

Austrian deathcore outfit Castiel have officially signed a worldwide deal with Seek And Strike, marking a major step forward as they prepare for the release of their upcoming EP ‘All Returns To Hollow And Silence’ on July 24th.

To kick off the rollout, the band have unveiled a new music video for “Act I: Defile // Denounce”, the opening chapter of the four-track EP. The visual was directed by Daniel Franklin.

The band are taking an ambitious serialized approach to the release, treating each song as part of a connected narrative supported by individual music videos.

Explaining the concept and evolution behind the record, Castiel shared:

“This EP is another step forward in refining our sound. There are four of us, and we are all different people, some with different tastes in music. We have collected these influences and combined them on the new EP. When we listened to the master tracks, we were blown away by this wall of music that just overwhelms you. We are extremely proud of what we have done and can’t wait to hear what people think of it.”

They continued:

“For this release, we wanted to try a fresh approach. We’re rolling out the songs one by one, like episodes of a TV series dropping week by week. The entire project tells one connected story that unfolds from the very first track all the way to the final one. To bring each chapter to life visually, we’ve decided to create a full music video for every song.”

On the musical direction, the band added that the EP pushes their sound further in multiple directions:

“It’s heavier and more brutal than what we’ve done before, yet more emotional. As a band, we’ve matured with this EP and we hope you can hear that in it.”

The group also highlighted influences ranging from Black Tongue, Humanity’s Last Breath, Bodysnatcher, and The Acacia Strain, blending slow, low-end brutality with faster, more technical passages.
