Chat Pile have officially released their new album Who Loves The Sun, and they’re celebrating the occasion with a new music video for the record’s latest focus track, “Shrine.”
The Oklahoma City noise rock quartet’s third full-length arrived today, September 4, through The Flenser, with “Shrine” serving as the album’s fifth track.
The accompanying music video was directed by David Fitt, with the band opting not to provide any additional commentary alongside the premiere. “Shrine” is also among the tracks that showcase the broader sonic palette of Who Loves The Sun, which finds the band continuing their abrasive noise rock while incorporating more melodic and atmospheric elements.
Who Loves The Sun follows Chat Pile’s 2024 album Cool World and their 2025 collaborative record In The Earth Again with experimental guitarist Hayden Pedigo.
The band will soon embark on an extensive U.S. run in support of the new album, with Soul Glo, Virga and Shallowater joining them for various stretches.
