A new remix of The Cure’s track “Warsong”, crafted by Chino Moreno (Deftones, †††), is now available digitally. This reimagined version is part of Mixes Of A Lost World, a three-volume remix series built around The Cure’s 2024 comeback album, Songs Of A Lost World.
Moreno and Robert Smith share a long creative history. Deftones famously covered The Cure’s “If Only Tonight We Could Sleep” years ago, and Smith later returned the favor by remixing “Teenager” from White Pony for the Black Stallion anniversary release in 2020.
Their most recent collaboration came in 2023, when Smith guested on ††† (Crosses)’ track “Girls Float † Boys Cry”, featured on the album Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete.
Moreno’s remix of “Warsong” will be included on the third volume of Mixes Of A Lost World, due out on June 13th. That volume will also feature contributions from Paul Oakenfold, 65daysofstatic, Mogwai, and others.
