Deftones‘ highly anticipated tenth studio album is nearing completion, as they enter the final stages of recording. Chino Moreno, the band’s vocalist/guitarist, provided an update during their recent performances at ‘Coachella.’ According to Moreno, all musical aspects of the album are already recorded, with only vocal tracks left to finalize. After concluding their ‘Coachella‘ shows, Moreno planned to head to a studio in Oregon to complete the vocals.
The initial recording sessions took place earlier this year in Nashville, TN, under the guidance of producer Nick Raskulinecz, who had previously worked with Deftones on their 2010 album Diamond Eyes and it’s follow-up, 2012’s Koi Yo Nokan. A recent social media post from David “Beno” Benviste, CEO of Velvet Hammer, the band’s management group, confirms Raskulinecz‘s involvement in the final recording sessions. While details about the album and its release date are still forthcoming, anticipation among fans continues to build.
