Megan Thee Stallion has once again demonstrated her appreciation for the heavier side of music, this time soundtracking a newly shared video with Deftones’ 2000 hit “Change (In The House Of Flies).”
The diamond-certified rapper and actress has previously crossed paths with the rock and metal world, including collaborations with Spiritbox and Nickelback. She has also made her affinity for early 2000s nü-metal known, most notably when she previously used Static-X’s “Cold” in one of her videos.
Her latest choice of soundtrack continues that trend, with “Change (In The House Of Flies)” providing the backdrop for her newest video. The track appeared on Deftones’ 2000 album ‘White Pony,’ and the band previously welcomed Megan to perform at their 2019 Dia De Los Deftones festival.
There’s also a pretty fitting connection between Megan’s recent Deftones selection and her previous Static-X nod.
A fan in the comments of her latest post pointed out that both “Cold” and “Change (In The House Of Flies)” appeared on the soundtrack to the 2002 film ‘Queen Of The Damned’, which featured a particularly stacked collection of early 2000s nü-metal and alternative music.
The fan commented, “I just know she loves the queen of the damned soundtrack too,” to which Megan simply replied:
“DO”
So, it appears Megan Thee Stallion’s appreciation for the ‘Queen Of The Damned’ soundtrack is officially confirmed.
