    Attila frontman Chris Fronzak is no stranger to controversy, having spent much of his career leaning into provocation and shock value.     That said, one area he appears increasingly cautious about engaging in directly is partisan politics.

    Over the weekend, Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland made headlines after posting a blunt message to his Instagram Stories aimed at supporters of U.S. President Donald J. Trump. Borland urged anyone who voted for or continues to support Trump — or even associates with his supporters — to unfollow him immediately.

    “If any of my followers voted or support Trump or are still friends with anyone who supports the Trump administration you’re out. F*ck you. Never contact me again.”

    Fronzak reacted to coverage of Borland’s comments by weighing in on X (formerly Twitter) on February 1st, questioning the wisdom of alienating fans over political views.

    “I thought he was smarter… there’s no reason to lose most of your fan base over a political opinion lmao.”

    The Attila vocalist continued discussing the topic in follow-up posts, framing himself as an outlier within the metal scene and doubling down on his stance.

    “I think I’m the last person in metal with a brain, just trying to keep it real and not be fake.”

    “I’m not a f**ing sheep like everyone else. I don’t have a label breathing down my back telling me what to say.”

    As expected, Fronzak’s remarks sparked a wave of reactions online, with supporters praising his bluntness while critics pushed back against his framing of the issue.           Brian Kessler You can do that, but then you’re susceptible to looking pretty foolish. It’s how we get lifelong Republicans singing along to American Idiot. The artist created the art. And their life experiences, personal values and beliefs, and upbringing is what impacts that art. From overtly political bands like RATM to dumb fun ones like Limp Bizkit. Taking the artist out of the art leaves you with a hollow understanding of what you’re experiencing. That works for some people. But I like to understand the art I like and where it comes from. Because it gives me a deeper appreciation of it

It’s a sub genre of music created in the mid 1990’s. Characteristics of nu metal include down tuned guitar, focus on groove over technicality, with a mix of rapping, singing, and screaming. Ok now let’s look into the bands that fit into that categories and let’s look into some songs and lyrics first. Let’s start with limp-
      The new single- making love to Morgan wallen. It blew up. The track featured a tribute to the late singer Chester. But also owned political lyrics like “got kicked out the trump resort”. But ofc when popularized on TikTok it did not feature those lyrics. 
      System of a Down- featured songs like deer dance, BYOB, ect
      Deer dance and byob strongly criticize the Iraq war and stay sponsored violence.
      Rage against the mechine
      Killing in the name of an bulls on parade- songs that have fundamental protest anthems that target police brutality, systemic racism and imperialism
      There are many many more but to add the cherry for yall.
      GREEN DAY
      even though not technically nu metal and more pop punk. they still had most of their big songs come out during the peak of nu metal. They also have political songs that are anti-bush administration, anti-Trump administration in anti-war. 
      So in the end your trying to tell me someone who was influenced by these people are trying to say “your gonna lose fallowers” ya their gonna lose the fake ones. Bc real nu metal. And all metal heads should KNOW. We do not put up with women or children being hurt. ANYWHERE! We do not put up with racism, pedos, war, or SPONSORED VIOLENCE!
