Converge treated hometown fans to a nostalgia-heavy set during their headlining appearance at the 2025 Saddest Day festival, held Saturday night (December 13th) at Roadrunner in Boston, Massachusetts.
The ferocious metalcore veterans delivered a sprawling 23-song performance, closing the night with their seminal 1996 track “The Saddest Day.” While a new album is finally slated to arrive on February 13th, the band instead leaned deep into their catalog, resurrecting multiple songs that had not been performed live in well over a decade.
Among the biggest surprises, “Towing Jehovah” surfaced for the first time since 2004, while “Conduit” returned to the setlist after a 16-year absence, last played in 2008. “Lonewolves” made its first appearance since 2011, and “My Unsaid Everything” was aired live for the first time since 2012. Elsewhere, “Black Cloud” was dusted off for the first time since 2019.
Adding to the night’s intensity, members of Full Of Hell joined Converge onstage for a collaborative run-through of “Axe To Fall.” Fan-filmed footage of the full performance has surfaced online, capturing the rare setlist in its entirety.
