Converge Turn Epitaph Records Parking Lot Into Surprise Pop-Up Show In Los Angeles

Fans of Converge got an unexpected treat this week after the influential metalcore outfit staged an impromptu performance outside the Los Angeles headquarters of Epitaph Records.

The unannounced set took place Thursday, May 14, with word of the show only surfacing a few hours before the band hit the parking lot stage. Despite the short notice, attendees packed in to catch the rare intimate performance, with reports from fans indicating the band tore through a 12-song set.

Fan-filmed footage from the pop-up concert quickly began circulating online following the event, capturing the chaotic atmosphere of the stripped-down outdoor performance.

The surprise appearance arrived during the closing stretch of Converge’s current tour alongside Poison The Well, The Armed, and The Barbarians Of California.

Only two dates remain on the run:

• 05/16 San Diego, CA – The Observatory North Park
• 05/17 San Francisco, CA – The Regency Ballroom

The parking lot set also arrives during what is shaping up to be one of the busiest release years in Converge’s history. The band are preparing to release their second full-length album of 2026, ‘Hum Of Hurt’, on June 5.

That album follows February’s ‘Love Is Not Enough’, which marked the band’s first traditional studio album release since 2017. Both records reportedly originated from the same writing and recording sessions, giving fans an unusually rapid turnaround between releases.

Between surprise live performances and back-to-back albums, 2026 continues to be an especially active year for Converge as the band further expands on their latest creative era.
