Hear Slipknot’s Corey Taylor Guest On Rachel Bolan’s New Track “Big Stick”

Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor has teamed up with Skid Row bassist Rachel Bolan on the newly released song “Big Stick.”

The track appears on Bolan’s newly released solo album “Gargoyle Of The Garden State” and also features guitarist Damon Johnson, known for his work with Thin Lizzy, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Brother Cane.

According to Bolan, Taylor’s involvement came together quickly after he reached out to the vocalist about collaborating. Speaking with Terri Carr, Bolan revealed that Taylor enthusiastically agreed to participate before even hearing the song.

Bolan also compared “Big Stick” to the style of veteran punk rock band Sham 69, while praising Taylor’s performance on the track.

“Corey Taylor’s contribution is fantastic. Corey’s got such a cool voice for punk rock, his pitch is so perfect. He’s such an amazing, beautiful, incredible singer.”

The collaboration marks the latest appearance from Taylor outside of his work with Slipknot and Stone Sour, showcasing a more punk-influenced side of his vocal style.
