CORPSE PILE Donate Over $3K In Merch Proceeds To Houston Food Bank, Citing Community Support

Houston brutal death metal/hardcore crossover unit Corpse Pile have donated over $3,000 to the Houston Food Bank, directing proceeds from a recent hometown merch haul toward supporting their local community. The band emphasized that the contribution—tagged under their “FYL (Feed Your Locals)” initiative—comes during a time when federal cuts have impacted programs designed to assist vulnerable populations.

In a statement shared online, Corpse Pile wrote:

“FYL stands for Feed Your Locals.

In the face of federal funding cuts left and right to programs that help the less fortunate, we’ve decided to donate $3,000 from our merch sales from our hometown show to the Houston Food Bank.

When the government refuses to help, it’s up to all of us to step up and make sure one another is cared for.

Please make no mistake, this donation is not solely from us but from every person who has bought merch, a record, a ticket, or supported us in any way. Without you this isn’t possible. This is for our scene, this is for our community, this is for our city, this is for HOUSTON!”

The group are finishing up their current U.S. run with Sanguisugabogg, Despised Icon, and Defeated Sanity.
