Cro-Mags, Forbidden, Nunslaughter, and Unto Others Join BLKIIBLK Records Roster

Frontiers Label Group has expanded the lineup of its BLKIIBLK Records imprint, which launched in 2024 with early signings including Megadeth and Biohazard. The label recently appointed industry veteran Mike Gitter (ex-Roadrunner Records/Century Media) as global head of A&R, and the first wave of signings under his leadership includes veteran heavyweights Cro-Mags, Forbidden, Nunslaughter, and Unto Others.

Gitter shared his excitement about helming the label:

“I’m proud to announce my joining the Frontiers Label Group team and helming BLKIIBLK. Frontiers is a company of passion. The mission statement is simple: to establish BLKIIBLK as a force on the heavy and extreme music spectrum, from genre mainstays to modern metal and the grimiest underground. Expect surprises at every turn, but the common denominator will always be vital, boundary-pushing music.”

The bands also spoke on their new partnerships with the label.

Cro-Mags’ Harley Flanagan:

“I’m looking forward to a new chapter for myself and Cro-Mags. I’ve never felt better about my music or our new partnership with BLKIIBLK. I’m ready to kick ass.”

Forbidden:

“After Forbidden’s rebirth in 2023, we knew we’d create new music—but only under the right circumstances. Joining BLKIIBLK with Mike Gitter, a longtime champion of heavy music, is the perfect fit. We’re currently recording our first album in 16 years with fire and enthusiasm, and can’t wait to share it.”

Nunslaughter’s Don Of The Dead:

“We’re ready to take Nunslaughter to new heights with BLKIIBLK. We’ve built a loyal following over the years, and this new chapter allows us to push our blasphemous vision further while staying true to the underground.”

Unto Others:

“As we work on our fourth full-length album, we’re thrilled to follow our friend and talented A&R man Mike Gitter to BLKIIBLK. We hope this year and our upcoming release will be a major step forward for all of us.”
