Cro-Mags are celebrating four decades of their influential hardcore punk album ‘The Age Of Quarrel’ with a newly re-recorded anniversary edition, and they’ve recruited Turnstile guitarist Meg Mills to join them for a fresh take on “It’s The Limit.”
Titled ‘The Age Of Quarrel: 40 Years Of Quarrel’, the anniversary release is scheduled to arrive on November 13. Mills is among several guests contributing to the re-recorded sessions, bringing her own connection to the landmark New York hardcore (NYHC) record to the project.
Mills shared her gratitude for being invited to participate, explaining just how much the original album shaped her path as a musician.
“(This is)…the greatest honor that could ever have been bestowed upon this NYHC fan. Wouldn’t have ever started a band without this record… Grateful to be a small part of this You’re [Harley Flanagan] one of the GOATs, and I can’t explain how much this record means”
With Mills joining Cro-Mags on “It’s The Limit,” the anniversary project pays tribute to a record that continues to resonate with generations of hardcore musicians and fans.
