Comedy improv group Smosh are putting a prehistoric spin on Limp Bizkit with “Bring ‘Em Back (We Want Dinos),” a new nu-metal parody released alongside an official music video.
Performing under the name Fred Darts, Smosh deliver a dinosaur-loving rallying cry packed with the kind of energy associated with the late-’90s and early-2000s nu-metal explosion. The fictional moniker is a playful nod to Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst.
The character is portrayed by Spencer Agnew, a recurring figure in the Smosh comedy universe. This time, Fred Darts trades the usual nu-metal angst for a decidedly paleontological cause: bringing dinosaurs back.
