SAVE US are facing an unexpected hurdle ahead of their first-ever tour, with two members of the band still unable to secure visas for the upcoming run alongside Saosin, Silent Planet, and Like Moths To Flames.
The group, who recently released their debut album ‘Death To Something,’ were scheduled to open Saosin’s 20th anniversary tour celebrating the band’s self-titled debut album. However, an update shared by SAVE US on October 17 revealed that Chris and Benji have yet to obtain the necessary visas to join the trek.
Despite the setback, the tour is still moving forward with a revised lineup. Miguel will represent SAVE US on the road, with Nick Miller stepping in on guitar, Abei Torres handling bass, and Roman from Like Moths To Flames filling in behind the drum kit.
In their statement, SAVE US expressed disappointment that the band won’t be able to experience its first shows together as originally planned, while confirming that efforts to secure the outstanding visas will continue.
“Hello everyone,
We’re heartbroken to share that Chris and Benji have still been unable to secure their visas for our upcoming tour with Saosin.
Miguel will still be joining the tour, with Nick Miller filling in on guitar, Abei Torres on bass, and Roman from Like Moths to Flames filling in on drums.
This is extremely unfortunate and heartbreaking for us, as these will be our first shows and our first tour, and we had hoped to experience them together as a band.
We will continue taking the necessary steps to secure visas for Chris and Benji so that we can all perform together in the future.
Thank you all for your continued love, patience, and support. We can’t wait to see you on the road.”
Although the visa complications mean the band’s debut touring experience won’t feature its full lineup, SAVE US remain scheduled to appear throughout the run. The tour begins October 23 in Anaheim, California, and wraps up November 28 in San Diego.
