Dark Tranquillity brought In Flames frontman Anders Fridén onstage yesterday, August 22nd, to pay tribute to late At The Gates vocalist Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg.
The appearance came during Dark Tranquillity’s set at In Flames’ ‘Göteborg Brinner’ festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, with the two bands joining forces for a performance of At The Gates’ 1995 classic “Blinded By Fear”.
The tribute served as another nod to Lindberg, who passed away earlier this year following a battle with cancer. Dark Tranquillity previously honored their fellow Swedish melodeath pioneer with a live rendition of the same song during a 2025 performance.
