Ex-Megadeth Bassist David Ellefson Reveals March European Tour

Former Megadeth bassist David Ellefson has revealed a new European leg of his ongoing ‘Bass Warrior Tour’, set to run throughout March. This newly announced stretch will see Ellefson and his solo band performing Megadeth’s 2x multi-platinum 1992 album ‘Countdown To Extinction’ in full each night, alongside select cuts from his broader catalog and other influential hard rock and metal favorites.

According to a press release issued on January 23, the tour continues Ellefson’s annual tradition of celebrating his four-decade career with fans across Europe. Direct support on all dates will come from Mado.

Ellefson commented on the upcoming run:

“Bass Warrior has become an annual celebration with my fans across Europe. This year I’m really excited to be performing the ‘Countdown to Extinction’ album in its entirety on the tour. It’s always been one of my favorite albums in my discography and I’m looking forward to celebrating those songs with my fans on the tour in March.”

Originally launched in 2024, the Bass Warrior Tour was designed as a platform for Ellefson—alongside musical director Andy Martongelli (Ellefson-Soto, Artemis)—to revisit material spanning more than 40 years as a globally recognized recording artist.
