DEFTONES Perform “Cherry Waves” Live With Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel

Deftones brought out Sarah Barthel of Phantogram during their September 07th set at the Centre Vidétron in Quebec City, QC. The dream pop vocalist joined the band for a special live performance of “Cherry Waves”, a deep cut from the band’s 2006 album Saturday Night Wrist.

Though never released as a single, “Cherry Waves” has grown into a fan-favorite over time, recently experiencing a resurgence thanks to TikTok and earning a platinum certification this past July. Fan-shot footage of the collaboration can be viewed below.

The Quebec City stop marked PHANTOGRAM’s final date as direct support on the first leg of DEFTONES’ summer/fall U.S. headlining tour. Moving forward, IDLES will take over main support duties, while The Barbarians Of California remain on as openers.
