DEFTONES Tease ‘Private Music’ Amid Growing Anticipation for Tenth Album

New music from Deftones may finally be on the horizon.

During their June 29th headlining performance at Crystal Palace Park in London, UK, the band teased what appears to be the title of their long-awaited tenth studio album: Private Music. The phrase was projected on stage screens alongside a new logo and the Roman numerals X.VII.MMXXV, prompting fans to speculate about the release date.

While the numerals might initially read as October 7th, 2025, that date falls on a Tuesday—unusual for album releases. Many fans believe the date follows UK formatting, pointing instead to a July 10th, 2025 unveiling.

The upcoming record is expected to be self-released by the band, deviating from their recent history with Reprise Records. Production on the new album reportedly wrapped in 2023 with Nick Raskulinecz (Alice In Chains, Foo Fighters).

As the buzz builds around Private Music, Deftones have a packed live schedule ahead, including international festivals and arena dates with Phantogram, IDLES, System Of A Down, and more.
