    DISTURBED’s David Draiman Proposes Onstage in Sacramento: “You Are the Light in the Darkness for Me”

    Disturbed frontman David Draiman made his Sacramento stop on the band’s current tour one to remember—especially for his girlfriend Sarah Uli. During the band’s May 09th set at the Golden 1 Center, Draiman surprised the crowd and Sarah by bringing her onstage and proposing in front of thousands of fans.

    Just before presenting the ring, Draiman spoke from the heart, telling Sarah:

    “Sarah, my love, you have made my life so much better. You are the light in the darkness for me. I love you more than anything I have ever loved in this world, and it would be the absolute pinnacle of my life and my existence…”

    Footage of the onstage proposal has begun making the rounds online, showing an emotional moment that blended personal joy with arena-level spectacle.

        Steve Rafferty it’s hilarious that people are losing their minds over this. We did this all the time in Afghanistan. I was a field artillery cannon crew member in Afghanistan in 2010. Whenever we had high ranking visitors we’d invite them to write a special little message and sign the high explosive shells and then we’d shoot those shells at the next fire mission.           Jacob Sebesta thanks, I like my gas station sunglasses. I tend to lose the nice expensive ones. Also a lot of the expensive ones don’t really fit my face right. They tend to be too big and they look kinda goofy on my face. But oddly enough, the cheap gas station sunglasses actually fit my face rather well and look good. And I never lose the cheapo sunglasses. Probably some kinda weird karma. You know, Jeff Foxworthy actually had a bit about cheap sunglasses vs. expensive ones. Like, it went something like you’ll always lose the expensive sunglasses, but you can’t seem to lose the cheap ones. Like you could be on a cruise ship in the middle of the ocean and lean over the side and your cheap sunglasses would fall off your face into the water and a diver would scoop them up and bring them back to you. It was pretty funny, I guess you’d have to hear the joke from the great Jeff Foxworthy himself for the humor to really come out of it. I’m not much of a comedian, though I did try my hand at being an MC during a talent show when I was in middle school. I told a few jokes then and they seemed to get some laughs. But anyway, I digress.

          You’re losing your mind over the basic entry level war shenanigans. I guess I won’t tell you about the more advanced war shenanigans, since I’m not sure what the statute of limitations is for some of that stuff.
