Disturbed Land Second Spotify Billions Club Entry In Less Than A Week

Disturbed are continuing to rack up streaming milestones. The multi-platinum hard rock outfit have officially added another song to Spotify’s prestigious Billions Club, with “Down With The Sickness” surpassing 1 billion streams on the platform.

The landmark gives the band their second new entry into the Billions Club in under a week. Just three days ago, Disturbed’s massively successful 2015 cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s “The Sound Of Silence” also crossed the billion-stream threshold.

Originally released in 2000 as the breakout single from their debut album The Sickness, “Down With The Sickness” became one of the defining anthems of the nu-metal era and remains the band’s signature track. The song is currently certified 8x platinum in the United States, while the album itself has moved over five million units.

Meanwhile, “The Sound Of Silence” continues to surge years after release. The track currently sits at 9x multi-platinum in the U.S., putting it within striking distance of becoming Disturbed’s first diamond-certified single.

With two billion-stream songs now added in the same week, Disturbed continue proving their catalog remains a major force in the streaming era.
