Escape The Fate have officially earned their first RIAA certification in the United States. The Las Vegas-based post-hardcore/metalcore outfit’s 2006 debut Dying Is Your Latest Fashion was certified Gold on July 29th, marking a major milestone nearly two decades after its release.
Gold certification from the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) recognizes 500,000 units moved. These totals include a combination of traditional sales, permanent digital downloads (with 10 song downloads equaling one album unit), and on-demand audio/video streams (with 1,500 streams equating to one unit).
The album was the band’s only full-length release to feature Ronnie Radke on vocals and includes fan-favorites like “Situations” and “Not Good Enough for Truth in Cliché”—tracks that helped shape mid-2000s metalcore and emo scenes.
