Evanescence Unleash New Single “Afterlife” for Netflix’s ‘Devil May Cry’

Evanescence has dropped their latest single, “Afterlife”, a track tied to Netflix’s upcoming animated series ‘Devil May Cry‘. The song was co-written by Amy Lee and Alex “Mako” Seaver, with Nick Raskulinecz and Seaver handling production.

“Afterlife” is available to be check out below alongside a ‘Devil May Cry‘-themed lyric video. An alternate version of the song will also appear in the show itself, and it officially lands on all streaming services on April 3rd.

The ‘Devil May Cry‘ series is shaping up to have a distinct nü-metal edge, featuring Limp Bizkit’s “Rollin’” as its theme song and Papa Roach’s “Last Resort” appearing in a recent trailer. Based on the classic Capcom video game franchise created by Hideki Kamiya, the new adaptation comes from Adi Shankar (Castlevania) and Studio Mir.

‘Devil May Cry‘ is set to premiere on April 3rd via Netflix. The official series description teases:

“Sinister forces are at play at the portal between the human and demon realms. In the middle of it all is Dante, an orphaned demon hunter for hire, unaware that the fate of both worlds hangs around his neck.”
