Evergreen Terrace have undergone a lineup change behind the kit, officially parting ways with drummer Longineu Parsons III and reinstating former member Brad Moxey.
News of the split surfaced via a statement shared by Parsons on March 17th, where he revealed the decision came unexpectedly and without much prior discussion. According to Parsons, he had reached out to the band earlier this month about rehearsals, only to learn that Moxey had asked to rejoin and that the group had decided to move forward with the switch.
Parsons joined Evergreen Terrace in recent years following a long career that included time with Yellowcard, bringing additional visibility and experience to the veteran metalcore outfit. In his message, he expressed confusion over the circumstances surrounding the change but remained supportive of both the band and his replacement.
Below is Parsons’ full statement:
“Hello Friends LP here
This is an unfortunate announcement I didn’t see myself making. Due to circumstances that I myself are very unclear about I will no longer be performing with my brothers in EVERGREEN TERRACE. Early in March I reached out to my bandmates about when we were getting together again for rehearsals and I was surprised with a return message stating that the former drummer Brad had asked if he could join back up and they were replacing me. This is a very bizarre and saddening situation for me since ET has become a very important part of my story in my musical career.
As you all know I started my path in music with my former band Yellowcard which opened the doors to opportunity, travel and fame. I’ve been fortunate enough in my career to travel the world, play the baggiest arenas and even winning a Moon Man award. But none of that has been more fulfilling than the camaraderie and long van rides with my brothers Craig, Andrew, Jason and Alex of ET. Whatever the reasons are for this abrupt decision I hope they can be fixed in the future and I will always leave the window open to ET. Brad is an amazing drummer and stellar dude and I wish him the best of luck.
Thank You All – LP”
At the time of writing, Evergreen Terrace have not issued an additional public statement addressing the lineup change. Moxey previously served as the band’s drummer during earlier eras of their career and now returns as the group continues forward.
