Drew Walker, guitarist for Austin-based heavyweights Fire From The Gods is stepping up for his local community in the wake of the devastating floods in the Texas Hill Country.
To help raise funds for those displaced by the natural disaster, Walker is giving away his personal Legator baritone guitar—the same instrument featured in the band’s “The Voiceless” music video and used during their run on the 2017 Vans Warped Tour and a few of the band’s festival appearances including Carolina Rebellion, Louder Than Life, & Welcome To Rockville.
In a heartfelt message shared on social media, Walker stated:
“It’s heartbreaking to see the destruction that massive flooding has caused here in central Texas. Lives have been lost and families are displaced. I’m giving away my Legator baritone guitar to raise money for flood victims. 100% of proceeds go to help families who’ve lost homes and loved ones.”
Fans can enter for a chance to win the guitar by donating at least $10 to the Kerr County Flood Relief Fund at tinyurl.com/fftgguitar. Each donation counts as one entry. After donating, entrants must screenshot their donation and send it to Drew via Facebook Messenger or Instagram.
The winner will be announced on July 21st.
