FOO FIGHTERS Debut “Asking For A Friend,” Announce 2026 ‘Take Cover Tour’ With Queens Of The Stone Age, Mannequin Pussy & Gouge Away

Foo Fighters have unveiled a brand-new single titled “Asking For A Friend” and confirmed plans for a major North American headlining run next summer. Dubbed the ‘Take Cover Tour’, the trek will see the band joined by longtime friends Queens Of The Stone Age as direct support, with Mannequin Pussy and Gouge Away appearing on select dates.

Artist pre-sales, including access for fans subscribed to the Foo Fighters’ newsletter, begin Wednesday, October 29th at 10:00am local time. General onsale follows on Halloween, October 31st at 10:00am local time.

Frontman Dave Grohl shared a reflective and heartfelt message alongside the announcement, describing themes of faith, patience, and gratitude — both in life and in the band’s continued journey together. Grohl also expressed his excitement about reuniting with Josh Homme and Queens Of The Stone Age, a friendship that dates back to their early days in the ‘90s.

“‘Asking for a Friend’ is a song for those who have waited patiently in the cold, relying on hope and faith for their horizon to appear. Searching for proof when hanging by a wish until the sun shines again. One of many songs to come… Let’s watch this mountain come into view together.”

“Asking For A Friend” marks the Foo Fighters’ first new release since ‘But Here We Are’ and sets the tone for what’s shaping up to be a massive year for the alt-rock legends in 2026.
