FOO FIGHTERS Announce Surprise Intimate Show In California For Live Return

In a surprise move tonight (September 12th), Foo Fighters revealed they will make their official live return with an intimate show this Saturday, September 13th, at The Fremont Theater in San Luis Obispo, CA. The 900-capacity venue will host the band’s first full set since September 2024, when they stepped away from the stage following frontman Dave Grohl’s admission of infidelity, which led to the birth of a child outside his marriage.

While Grohl made scattered live guest appearances earlier this year, the band largely remained quiet on the touring front until announcing several international dates back in May. That same month saw a lineup shakeup, with drummer Josh Freese exiting the group and Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails) stepping in behind the kit—essentially a drummer trade between the two iconic bands.

For the San Luis Obispo show, tickets will be sold exclusively at the Fremont Theater’s box office starting tomorrow, September 13th, at 8:00am PST. A strict two-ticket limit per person will be enforced, with fans only allowed to line up beginning at 7:00am PST.
