Thrash metal veterans Forbidden have officially unleashed their latest single, “Burning The Lungs Of Earth,” along with a new music video directed by the band’s own Chris Kontos.
The track serves as the latest preview of Forbidden’s upcoming self-titled comeback album, ‘Forbidden,’ which is scheduled for release October 23 through BLKIIBLK. The record will mark the band’s first full-length effort since 2010.
Guitarist Craig Locicero describes “Burning The Lungs Of Earth” as a fast-moving thrash track built around complex riffs, melodic vocals and a heavy rhythm section, while its lyrics take aim at humanity’s destruction of the planet.
“The song mirrors the effects of mankind’s natural & unnatural disasters, coupled with the planetary cycle we find ourselves in decimating our ecosystems. Corporations, politicians & greed suffocating the planet.”

Forbidden will also hit the road this fall alongside Heathen and Void, beginning in October.
