Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst has joined forces with alt‑pop/rap‑rock singer Lauren Sanderson for a remix of her track “COME SAY SUM,” appearing in both the new audio cut and the freshly released video. The pairing came about after Durst flagged the original on social media, which in turn sparked this collaboration and a clip that leans into the same irreverent, in‑your‑face energy as Limp Bizkit’s own “Break Stuff” clip.
The original studio version of “COME SAY SUM” will land as part of Sanderson’s upcoming album ‘LAUREN’, which is due out May 29. The song’s success also opened the door for Sanderson to nab a pair of opening slots on Limp Bizkit’s inaugural shows at The Truth in Nashville, TN on October 11 and 12.
On the partnership, Sanderson reflected on how surreal and serendipitous the whole thing feels:
“Did I know this song had magic in it? Yes. Did I think Fred Durst would discover it and bring my Lez Bizkit dreams to life? Probably not,” she commented.
“Ever since the first conversation Fred and I had, I knew this friendship was created by the universe. Some people just have that magic, and when you put Fred & I together… We are what you call a serendipitous collision.”
