fromjoy Debut New Music Video for “Ataraxia”

The year 2026 has found fromjoy wasted no time in revisiting one of their most atmospheric pieces to date. The alternative metalcore outfit has officially released a new music video for their track “Ataraxia,” which served as the grand finale to their latest project.

For this visual, the band enlisted Derek Rathbun to oversee the filming and direction. The video captures the frantic, “controlled chaos” energy of the song, which has become a hallmark of the band’s evolving sound following a significant lineup transition last year.

The track “Ataraxia” originally appeared as the closing movement of the band’s ‘Ataraxia 19.13.8.1.19‘ (2025). Released this past June, the EP marked the first official material from the group following the departure of former vocalist Denver Dowling.

The ‘Ataraxia 19.13.8.1.19’ EP was a deliberate shift into uncharted sonic territory, showcasing the vocal growth of both Kellan King and Giovanni Alaniz. Band members have previously noted that this collection of songs “closes the book” on the aesthetic era they had been exploring, effectively clearing the way for new developments in 2026.
