Gridiron Release ‘Lights Out’ EP Alongside New Video For Title Track

Rapcore/hardcore crossover outfit Gridiron have expanded on their recent momentum with the release of a new four-song EP titled ‘Lights Out’.

The EP arrived on May 21 and includes two brand-new songs in addition to a pair of remixed tracks pulled from the band’s latest album ‘Poetry From Pain’. Coinciding with the release, the group also premiered a new music video for the title track, directed by Dan Centrone.

Frontman Matthew Karll explained that “Lights Out” centers around themes of retaliation and reclaiming what belongs to you.

“‘Lights Out’ is about revenge, a track about counting your chickens before they hatch. A song about going out and getting back what’s yours.”

One of the standout additions to the EP is a remix of “Tombstone” handled by NOWHERE2RUN, the project featuring Code Orange members Jamie Morgan and Eric “Shade” Balderose.
