GUNS N’ ROSES Clarify That Axl Rose’s Onstage Outburst Wasn’t Directed At Drummer Isaac Carpenter

Guns N’ Roses have issued a statement addressing frontman Axl Rose’s recent onstage meltdown in Buenos Aires, Argentina, clarifying that the incident was not aimed at drummer Isaac Carpenter.

The moment in question occurred during the band’s October 18th performance at Estadio Huracán, where Rose was seen visibly frustrated—storming offstage after “Welcome To The Jungle,” kicking Carpenter’s bass drum, and even tossing a microphone toward the kit.

While fans speculated that tensions between Rose and Carpenter were to blame, the band has since explained that the outburst stemmed from a technical issue, not personal conflict.

In a statement shared on October 22nd, the group wrote:

“During the opening song at our recent Buenos Aires concert, Axl’s in-ear monitor pack had only the percussion in his ears versus his entire mix. The issue was fixed by our tech team by the third song, and we had a great night. The situation had nothing to do with Isaac Carpenter’s playing, who is top notch and a great drummer.”

Isaac Carpenter, who joined the band earlier this year after Frank Ferrer’s departure, remains a key part of the current Guns N’ Roses lineup as they continue their world tour.
