Horror-obsessed metalcore crew Ice Nine Kills are taking a surprising turn into sci-fi territory with their upcoming single “The Great Unknown”, set to arrive July 09th.
A newly shared trailer for the song strongly nods to the aesthetics and themes of the 1999 cyber-thriller The Matrix, signaling a possible pivot in creative direction for the band, who have largely leaned on horror cinema as a key influence in recent years.
Pre-saves for the new single are available now via ffm.to/ink_tgu, and an interactive teaser site—link.fans/whatisthegreatunknown—has also launched to expand the experience behind the release.
Stay tuned for more as Ice Nine Kills dive headfirst into The Great Unknown this week.
