New York death metal stalwarts Immolation have revealed details for their upcoming twelfth studio album, ‘Descent’, set to arrive April 10 via Nuclear Blast. To coincide with the announcement, the band also premiered a music video for the record’s opening single, “Adversary”, directed in-house by guitarist Bob Vigna.
Speaking on the record, the band shared:
“We are really excited to release ‘Descent’ this year. The vibe and feel of this new one is almost addictive… It’s truly one of the best records we’ve done, with amazing production, atmosphere, and flow. We look forward to playing it all live for you soon!”
‘Descent’ was recorded across sessions with Justin Passamonte and Noach Buchanan, mixed and mastered by Zack Ohren (Machine Head, Fallujah), and features cover art by Eliran Kantor. The album spans 10 tracks:

Immolation will support Descent with extensive touring in Europe and North America. Highlights include runs with Mayhem & Marduk across Europe in February, and a massive North American tour with Behemoth, Deicide, and Rotting Christ in April and May, before heading to festivals like Rockstadt Extreme Fest in Romania and Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic.
