The nominees have been revealed for the 2026 class of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and once again, British heavy metal icons Iron Maiden are on the ballot.
Despite multiple nominations over the years, Iron Maiden have yet to be inducted — a point of frustration among fans and even within the band itself. In 2018, frontman Bruce Dickinson publicly criticized the Rock Hall, stating:
“I actually think the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame is an utter, complete load of bollocks to be honest with you.
It’s run by a bunch of sanctimonious bloody Americans who wouldn’t know rock’n’roll if it hit them in the face. They need to stop taking Prozac and start drinking fucking beer!”
Other notable nominees this year include Billy Idol and The Black Crowes, alongside a diverse list of artists spanning rock, pop, hip-hop, and R&B.
