Despite an all‑star lineup booked to salute Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne at Villa Park on July 5th, one notable absence was fellow Birmingham legends Judas Priest. The omission wasn’t snub—it came down to a scheduling conflict: Priest had already committed to a gig with Scorpions, leaving frontman Rob Halford “absolutely gutted” to miss the final Sabbath extravaganza.

Rather than let the moment pass unmarked, Judas Priest have unveiled a live performance video of “War Pigs,” Sabbath’s iconic 1970 anti‑war anthem. Of their rendition, the band said:
“We are honored to show our love for Ozzy and Black Sabbath with our homage of ‘War Pigs’ – a song we play at every show around the world that fans sing along to – reinforcing their love as well for the legendary Prince Of Darkness…!!”
While Rob Halford may lament not standing side‑by‑side with his Brummie peers this weekend, Judas Priest’s spirited cover ensures their tribute rings out loud and clear.
