Kerry King to Release Deluxe Edition of ‘From Hell I Rise’ Featuring His Own Demo Vocals and First-Ever Live Show

Kerry King is set to release a deluxe edition of his 2024 solo debut, From Hell I Rise, on June 19 via Reigning Phoenix Music.

The expanded release, titled From Hell I Rise (Extended Deluxe Edition), adds five demo tracks featuring King’s own scratch vocal recordings before Mark Osegueda stepped in to handle vocals on the final album. The bonus tracks include demo versions of “Crucifixation,” “From Hell I Rise,” “Two Fists,” “Rage,” and “Trophies Of The Tyrant.”

The package also features updated artwork by James Bousema. A limited earbook collector’s edition capped at 666 copies will include a bonus live CD and Blu-ray documenting King’s first-ever solo performance, which took place on May 7, 2024 at Reggie’s in Chicago.

Pre-orders are available now, and King is also reportedly in the studio working on his second solo album.
